Novel X-ray Optics and Positron Emission Tomography Novel X-ray Optics We are continuing the development of the multi-prism lens structure and our aim is to produce a device that could be applied in a number of areas such as x-ray astronomy, synchrotron experiments and nuclear imaging. Positron Emission Tomography Positron Emission Tomography (PET) is an important tool in cancer detection and diagnosis in the clinic as well as in research and drug discovery. We are working on concepts to drastically reduce the image acquisition time and radiation dose to the patient. |
